We are all about making disciples of Jesus and teaching the Word of God. We see ourselves as a help and an encouragement to healthy families and a family for those who need one. We have a lot of fun goofing off, but we also know when to be serious. We hope that if you are not a part of the group that you will stop in one Sunday or Wednesday and find out more about our Savior Jesus Christ and how we seek to obey him at Lafitte Baptist Church. The Fortress (Wednesday nights, 6:30 - 8:00 In the Student Room, Grades 7th-12th) Our Student Service consists of a sharing time (where students share prayer requests, praise God for things in their life, or share about witnessing opportunities they have had during the week), 30 seconds of silence (for confession and preparation), Prayer, Testimony by an Adult, prayerfully chosen songs lead by our student band, scripture readings and solid Biblical messages.  Students and adults are involved and invited to participate in every aspect of the service. 

We are currently using the Student Life Bible Study about the person of Christ for both our Junior High and Senior High Sunday School material. One key feature of this Bible Study is that it offers an outline for a weekly family devotional that compliments each weeks lesson.
